CJ 4DPLEX Co. Ltd.

CJ 4DPLEX Co. Ltd. is a South Korean entertainment technology company. More specifically, they develop and produce technology specifically developed for the film industry such as 4Dx and ScreenX systems that are built into movie theatres. These so-called 4Dx halls incorporate high-tech movable seats that move in perfect on-screen synchronization and amplify the audience with effects such as wind, water, fog, lightning, smell, snow and storm. The CJ 4DPLEX thus adapts 70 Hollywood blockbusters or local films annually to broadcasts them in more than 640 halls worldwide, in more than 65 countries.

SmartWay boasts a collaboration with CJ 4DPLEX since its inception in 2015, where it has participated upwards of a dozen projects in Switzerland, Belgium, France, Luxemburg, Spain, Serbia, Bosnia and Hercegovina and Croatia. In 2019, SmartWay becomes a South Korean Certified Dealer, which means it can design, install and commission a 4Dx or ScreenX system on its own.
